DOD Business Unit Lead  

The DoD Business Unit Lead will be accountable for achieving delivery success across the DoD Program Portfolio. They will also facilitate and lead Program Managers in achieving On-Contract-Growth and Upside. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong client relationships. They will ensure the financial health of each program and manage the overall Business Unit P&L. This role will support the creation of and delivery of executive reporting throughout the year. The role will work closely with our Business Development team on defining strategic solutions, staffing, and competitive pricing for identified new growth opportunities. This role is expected to continuously learn and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Concept Plus, our services, financial drivers, and constraints, and develop and maintain industry and customer relationships that benefit the company. Concept Plus seeks a senior, energetic, team-focused professional responsible for leading the DoD Business Unit.  

Primary Responsibilities:   

• The BD lead will Use their knowledge and experience of DoD to ensure Concept Plus delivers quality deliverables/solutions on time and on budget.
• Establish, maintain, and grow strong client relationships.
• Ensure the financial health of the Business Unit and Programs.
• Help Program Managers establish yearly financial plans and budgets.
• Work with the Program Managers to identify and successfully pursue opportunities for On-Contract-Growth and Upside.
• Continuously learn and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Concept Plus and its offerings.
• Work on creating Subcontract, ICA, and 1099 agreements and assist Program Managers with their creation.
• Provide management oversight of existing partnerships and agreements.
• Support BD efforts for tactical and strategic opportunities, resulting in the award of new business task orders and contract awards.
• Work with Business Development to enhance go-to-market strategies for DoD accounts.
• Contribute to developing proposals through assistance with teaming, solutioning, staffing, and color reviews.

Required Qualifications:  

• Must be USA Citizen.
• Must be Clearable for Federal Clearance.
• Bachelor of Science or related field.
• 5-7 years of successfully leading a federal government portfolio.
• 3-5 years of experience working with DoD Programs.
• Experience leading DoD programs.
• Managing a P&L working with Federal Agencies.
• Ability to lead and motivate dispersed teams.
• Successful track record with organic, on-contract-growth.
• Unquestionable integrity and reliability.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making abilities, and a can-do team success mentality.
• Ability to interface and collaborate with senior executives.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills – both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Federal Security Clearance is a plus.
