Concept Plus is seeking a Cloud Engineer to provide technical support to a federal clients' systems.
Job Description:
The Cloud Engineer will deploy business solutions across major cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), support standardization and automation of Pipelines for software build, deployment, and operation in Cloud enabling engineers’ productivity with automation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Utilize administration (DevOps) knowledge to manage cloud resources and deploy workloads using tools such as Terraform.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Pulumi, etc.
- Demonstrate expertise in networking and internet protocols, including Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Domain Name Server (DNS), Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), HTTP, and distributed networks in the cloud.
- Implement automation within Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.
- Deploy IaaS and PaaS services on Azure, AWS, and GCP. Develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-native applications on services like Azure, GCP, and AWS.
- Manage virtual servers, including vulnerability management. Improve security posture for cloud deployment
- Implement security controls and features to address cybersecurity challenges. Implement monitoring best practices to proactively identify and troubleshoot production problems.
Minimum Required Qualifications (Must Have):
- 5 years of software development experience for standardization and automation of Pipelines
- 3 years of experience with Engineering for Infrastructure Resiliency
- 3 years of DevOps experience using AWS, Python, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub and Artifactory
- 3+ years of experience with observability tools, container infrastructure, database and Agile development
- 4+ years of experience with Infrastructure architectural patterns, building APIs, microservices, event streams, and high throughput systems in Cloud
- 4+ years of hands-on software development experience for standardization and automation of Pipelines for software build, deployment, and operation in Cloud; enabling engineers’ productivity with automation.
- 4+ years of experience improving infrastructure efficiency, engineers’ productivity and infrastructure reliability
- Security+ CE or CCNA Security certification required
- Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of infrastructure resiliency & reliability engineering experience designing and developing automation for Cloud based infrastructure resiliency best practices, such as blue/green/canary deployments, observability, capacity planning, chaos engineering, incidents reduction
- 3+ years of DevOps experience using AWS boto3 APIs, Python, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory technologies, for implementing tooling to automate efficiency and resiliency of mission critical customer facing applications
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- AWS Certifications or willingness to pursue
