Database Engineer/Administrator

Concept Plus is seeking a Database Administrator/Engineer to support our Healthcare & Federal Civilian team in Rockville, MD.  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, maintain, tune and perform routine database administration tasks for SQL Server and Oracle Databases
  • Ensure backups and recovery scripts and processes are working correctly
  • Apply patches , analyze IAVAs, perform break fix analysis
  • Perform analysis of indexes, table structures, data usage
  • Design new tables, indexes, tables per customer requirements and development need
  • Use Jira, ServiceNow as required
  • Develops and maintains security of databases

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience 
  • Experience with Oracle and SQL Server
  • Prior experience with NIH CIT BAS Systems
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with NIH ITAS, NED, SAAVI, NEES Systems
