Inventory Control Supervisor

Position overview:
Conair a worldwide leading manufacturer of personal care products has an available opening in the Inventory Control Department within its fast-paced Southaven, Mississippi Distribution Center.

This person will work in concert with the Corporate Inventory Control Manager ensuring all corporate Inventory Control requirements are met and reported in a timely manner. 

You will monitor the accuracy of all inventory levels utilizing the cycle count program / spot audits, and resolves all errors as required. Maintain inventory control records, identify problems, and provide solutions to improve efficiency and inventory accuracy

Working in conjunction with the entire Inventory Control Department as a team, you will be responsible for maintaining a daily cycle count program.

Responsible for maintenance controls, policies, standard procedures and systems to achieve accurate financial inventory information. This is accomplished through a comprehensive analysis of inventory transactions to identify problems, recommend solutions and drive implementation of improved practices, tools, and policies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and perform daily cycle count activities
  • Monitor transactional activity, perform research and reconciliation to correct imbalances and prevent order denials
  • Monitor Inventory Control activities/Reports for accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain records and reporting daily cycle counts
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and optimize cost effectiveness
  • Work with Distribution Management team to conduct audits and ensure accuracy of inventory records, including Receiving, Shipping, Quality Control, Service Departments and cycle count activities
  • Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies, recommend and implement solutions
  • Responsible for inventory at subcontractors / consignment and third party warehouses utilizing system and hands on cycle count practices
  • Investigate all inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Operations Management / Business, or equivalent Inventory Control experience
  • SAP and/or Manhattan Associates WMi experience a plus
  • Experience in batch / lot control a plus
  • 3-5 years inventory control experience in a distribution warehouse environment
  • Demonstrate command of inventory control concepts and practices
  • Proven analytical troubleshooting and problem solution skills
  • A high level of computer literacy with proven experience using systems that support inventory management, Excel / Word etc.
  • Attention to detail with a strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective cross-functional skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Compute basic math problems to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
