Conair LLC, located in Stamford, CT, a worldwide manufacturer of haircare, health and beauty products, personal care and spa appliances, and upscale kitchen products is looking for a Production Artist to join our Hairgoods, Beauty, Accessories & Cosmetic Bags Division.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Support the strategic vision of the HBAC division under the General Manager
  • CATEGORIES (SCUNCI, ALLEGRO, BRUSHES, LEANDRO AND GROOMING)
  • Ability to work in multiple categories and become expert in all brand standards and graphic templates of all collections within the core groups
  • Support the Senior Production Artist and the Creative team
  • Responsible for the conversion of all ID design files into press ready mechanicals and be the ensure the accuracy of the files and of the brand standards
  • Responsible for file construction, extensive edits and revisions, building comps and trend boards and planogram assets in a demanding deadline environment
  • Responsible for the accuracy of design files in the last stages of development
  • Production and mechanical workflow to include:
    • Packaging
    • Instructional Booklets and screen art
    • Comping and building POGs
    • Visual merchandising
    • Print advertising
    • Collateral materials and trend boards
    • PR/special events
    • Licensee projects
  • Follow established procedures and check lists prior to releasing artwork
  • Work closely with Creative Managers to understand the design file passed and have the patience and knowledge to achieve mechanical accuracy and efficiency
  • Work closely with Account Managers and on timelines and brand standards
  • General computer layout and design skills to be able to effectively execute line extensions
  • Archive and update projects to servers and maintain an organized approach to image catalog and files
  • Knowledge of creating product renderings, and color conversions, in Photoshop
  • Review retouching and printer proofs for content, clarity, color and accuracy
  • Provide additional creative support on special projects and presentations when needed
  • Collaborate and contribute to the creative process

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expert knowledge of Creative Suite
    *ALL FILES START AND RELEASE IN INDESIGN
  • 3D rendering software, a plus
  • Strong, exceptional and seasoned production skills a must
  • Bachelors Degree /BA or BFA preferred
  • Minimum 4+ years of related experience
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Must be flexible and understand the pivot necessary to handle
    ever challenging deadlines and priorities
  • Problem solver and ability to handle multiple projects
  • Collaborative, team player displays confidence and patience
  • Technical Information, best practices and smart house keeping
    tips and ideas to share among the team
