Security Guard Job Description



JOB SUMMARY:  Provide a safe, secure, and theft free work facilities for all Conair Employees.




- Monitor all interior and exterior areas of facilities either by camera system or foot patrol

- Ensure only authorized Conair employees enter the facilities. 

- Check all badges of arriving full time and temporary employees.

- Check in and verify all visitors to the facilities.

- Inspect packages, purses, handbags, boxes, etc being removed from the facilities

- Verify all removed items have the correct authorization paperwork for removal.

- Walk the facility and report any unsafe work conditions/practices or suspicious activities.

- Respond to and clear any fire/security alarms during the work day.

- Interfaces with emergency response agencies (police, EMT, fire, alarm company) when




- Organized, detail oriented, responsive, and able to multi-task.

- Able to make accurate observations  and good decisions in a variety of situations (including


- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Able to follow directions accurately and independently

- Able to work in a team environment

-Ability to identify aggressive and potential dangerous behaviors

-Great customer service a must!



- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a position requiring frequent interaction with large

  numbers of people

- Prior Security guard experience a plus

-Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time (2+  hours per shift)

-Ability to calmly talk and reason with distressed individuals

-High school diploma or GED required

- Able to use Microsoft office products (Outlook, Word)

- Prior CCTV experience a plus

- Must have a valid AZ Driver’s License

-Clean criminal background check a must




Physical Requirements

-Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time (2+  hours per shift)

-Must be able to lift 20 to 50 pound boxes

-Must be able to sit in a chair for 2 to 4 hours at a time

-Periodic bending, pivoting, reaching and squatting required during a shift

-Extensive use of hands for handling materials and typing
