POSITION: Shuttle Driver  

DEPARTMENT: Glendale Campus Receiving  

SHIFT: 2nd Shift Monday-Friday  

1:30PM to 10:00PM  


GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The shuttle driver is responsible for the timely and safe movement  and spotting of trailers within the Glendale Conair Campus. The shuttle driver is also expected to have thorough knowledge of on-hand inventory and position and slot trailers to best adhere to the business priorities as necessary.  

DUTIES  

Must maintain a neat and orderly storage trailer yard that maximizes efficiency and services the campus needs accordingly.  

Operate truck/shuttle in a safe manner during numerous pickups/drop offs of both loaded and empty containers and/or trailers.  

Drive and operate the vehicle within posted speed limits around the campus including lots and storage areas.  

Perform pre-shift equipment check and communicate preventative maintenance checks and services needed in a timely and reasonable fashion.  

Responsible for maintaining records and audit logs involving trailer/container locations, moves, assigned numbers, gross weights etc.  

Must interact on a daily basis with campus dock and personnel in a professional manner and comply with all campus safety rules and regulations.  

Must communicate using a two-way radio with campus leadership and personnel  

Maintain integrity of inventory and working areas.  

May be used in other business functions as business needs arise and assigned work permits.  

QUALIFICATIONS  

High School diploma or GED equivalent.  

CDL-(Class A) strongly preferred but not required.  

Ability to work outdoors-in all weather conditions.  
Prior warehousing experience strongly preferred.  

Ability to work overtime required.  

Power equipment certified (reach, work saver, forklift, etc.) strongly preferred.  

Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization.  

Familiarity with computers as well as previous experience with Warehouse  

Management Systems is preferred.  

Experience using RF scanning equipment.  

Demonstrate strong attention to detail including speed and accuracy in counting and checking.  

Demonstrate arithmetic skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.  

Maintain the production pace of other team members.  

Able to work in a team environment.  

Must be able to have good judgment and decision making skills.  

Able to follow directions accurately with little supervision.  

PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES  

Lifting up to 50 pounds repetitively  

Standing for prolonged periods of time  

Bending for prolonged periods of time  

Ability to work at heights on Powered Industrial equipment.
