Position Summary: Responsible for purchasing and planning a large number of skus. Working directly with multiple overseas factories and our domestic warehouse to ensure all items are ordered as needed; ship on time and are received accordingly to support our customer’s needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and evaluate the Inventory in accordance to Supply Chain best practices. Maintain the right inventory levels based on order lead-times, safety stocks and vendor reliability.
  • Monitor inventory levels and inventory movement using computer-based planning systems.
  • Procure materials to meet production schedules. Responsible for ensuring supply of materials from qualified vendors, and for timely and economical purchases.
  • Create and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure consistent and reliable supply of materials.
  • Analyze inventory processes to identify gaps, propose improvements and implement change.
  • Support and make suggestions to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations through vendors and supply of materials.
  • Follow internal controls and company policies as set by company and job function.
  • Contribute to the success of company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned

Essential Qualifications:

  • BA/BS required, in Business, Supply Chain or related field.
  • 3-5 yrs. of planning experience required.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Highly analytical with an aptitude for interpreting and utilizing data to improve and propose change.
  • Must be self-motivated and self-starter, with strong analytical skill, attention to detail, and systems acumen.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain including supply planning, forecasting models, inventory management, manufacturing, and distribution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and have aptitude to learn technical applications quickly.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Beneficial Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Personal Care, Health Care, Beauty or Consumer Goods industry is a plus.

Environmental Factors:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
  • Must be Covid-19 vaccinated.
  • We currently operate on a hybrid schedule; candidate must be willing to come into the Stamford office 50% of time.
