Planning Manager, PCA Division

Position Summary:

Influences leadership across the organization to optimize service level and inventory. Responsible for supply planning, production plan, inventory and ensures the category they manage to deliver the right products at the right time. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in inventory planning, operations and product life cycles. The candidate must be able to manage a large catalogue selection, be highly analytical, be accountable and results oriented. The candidate should be self-starting, have hands-on inventory management experience and good knowledge in supply chain operations. SAP and APICS background a significant plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and evaluate the Inventory in accordance to Supply Chain best practices. Maintain the right inventory levels based on order lead-times, safety stocks and vendor capability.
  • Monitor inventory levels and inventory movement using computer-based planning systems.
  • Procure materials to meet production schedules. Responsible for ensuring supply of materials from qualified vendors, and for timely and economical purchases.
  • Create and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure consistent and reliable supply of materials.
  • Analyze inventory processes to identify gaps, propose improvements and implement change.
  • Support and make suggestions to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations through vendors and supply of materials.
  • Follow internal controls and company policies as set by company and job function.
  • Contribute to the success of company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned

Essential Qualifications:

  • BA/BS required, in Business, Supply Chain or related field
  • Solid knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP
  • Highly analytical with an aptitude for interpreting and utilizing data to improve and propose change.
  • Must be self-motivated and self-starter, with strong analytical skill, attention to detail, and systems acumen.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain including supply planning, forecasting models, inventory management, manufacturing, and distribution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and have aptitude to learn technical applications quickly.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and integrity. Results-oriented and committed to delivering results by deadline.  

Beneficial Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Personal Care, Health Care, Beauty or Consumer Goods industry is a plus.

Environmental Factors:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
  • Must be Covid-19 vaccinated.
  • We currently operate on a hybrid schedule; candidate must be willing to come into the Stamford office 50% of time.
