Conair Corporation, located in Stamford, CT, a worldwide manufacturer of haircare, health and beauty products, personal care and spa appliances, and upscale kitchen products is looking for a Director of Sales & Marketing, E-Commerce to join the BaBylissPRO team.

This position is responsible for managing and delivering the North American Ecommerce objectives and priorities for the BaBylissPRO product line, inclusive of branding and sales targets. The Director will be a driven self-starter, highly organized and involved, analytical and possess strong collaborative skills.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage BaBylissPRO‘s site vision, strategy and day-to-day operations. From first site experience to post-purchase customer satisfaction, while delivering both sales volume and brand building.
  • Create and identify strategies for long- and short-term growth opportunities and development.
  • Plan site calendars, ensure successful product and positioning for all programs – with an emphasis on product stories and effective site merchandising to influence and drive sales and site experience.
  • The role requires excellent collaboration with the cross-functional teams to deliver strong engagement metrics, by understanding the needs and expectation of the online, multi-channel and offline consumer.
  • Accomplish online sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and promotional programs.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, consumer purchase habits and behaviors that will help drive the business.
  • Managing collaboration between IT resources, sales, and marketing to identify and execute the strategic vision across ecommerce platform.
  • Work to analyze and improve the purchase journey, customer retention and acquisition.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations, marketing, and merchandising as it applies to the site.
  • The Director will share best practices and lead online e-commerce business reviews.
  • Analytics, ideation, assessment post action are critical in this role to grow sales on owned .com and retailer.com channels
  • Oversee development of online specific assets and online content management process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to develop comprehensive e-comm guidelines to cover launch to leverage activities, including but not limited to advertising and promo budget, CRM, and web enhancements

 

Online Retailers

  • Support strategy to drive retailer.com sales and work with internal sales teams to ensure offline strategies are executed seamlessly with online
  • Work with regional teams to facilitate the creation and execution of all promotional activities, merchandising strategy (launches and re-promotes) strategize build special programs, customer acquisition, and retention

 

About You

  • Must be able to roll-up sleeves and do what is necessary to accomplish day to day tactical executions, in addition to provide a higher level of strategic thinking.

Qualifications

  • At least 5+ years in hands-on, commercially minded on-line role and marketing experience. Experience in beauty preferred
  • Experience translating brand vision to the online channel and execute strategies that lead the company consistently towards that vision. Must always mirror the values and positioning of the brand
  • Proven digital skills in web design, strategy and planning, budget and P&L management, on-line merchandising and marketing
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Creative problem solver able to thrive in fast paced environment
  • Big-picture thinker and experience in a dynamic, high-growth environment
  • Ability to navigate a complex organization
