Position Summary:

Conair LLC, a global leader in the manufacture and distribution of personal care, health & beauty products, premium kitchen electrics, tools, and cookware, is seeking an Ecommerce Payment Specialist located in our East Windsor, NJ location.  

This position plays a vital role in our payment processing department and is an integral member of our overall Finance organization.  You will be a great fit for this role if you have a strong focus on teamwork and problem-solving, are organized, motivated, focused, and hardworking with excellent communication skills.  The successful individual will also need to possess high standards and a positive attitude and patience when dealing with customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing orders for payment issues
    • Expiring orders – not yet settled within SAP but time limit of authorization is close
    • Notify payments still pending – not yet received from banks
    • Review aged orders, capture payments as needed to avoid additional fee for expiring authorizations
    • Notification of orders > $ limit agreed by Division and Website
  • Reviewing orders on hold (KOUNT)
    • Review and release orders being held for fraud verification in Kount
    • Advise warehouse of orders which should not be shipped or released from hold status
  • Addressing Better Business Bureau issues
    • Maintain BBB rating by responding, resolving, or forwarding a complaint concerning payments and ensuring resolution
  • Chargebacks, end-to-end
    • Non-fraud
      • Respond to chargebacks
      • Notify Kount of non-fraud chargebacks received
      • Monitor chargebacks for trends and notify Kount of rules changes
    • Fraud
      • Create PDFs to be submitted to Kount for chargeback reimbursement
        • Proof of shipment
        • Chargeback
        • Proof of Delivery
  • Review and verify refund requests coming from Consumer Services; issue refunds for:
    • Claims
      • Approve lost package claims
      • Approve missing content (partial)
      • One-time courtesy refunds for denied claims
    • Consumer Service
      • Discounts for angry customers
      • Damaged items
      • Applying promo code discounts
      • Courtesy refund for freight cost
      • Courtesy refund for return shipping label
    • KOUNT cancellations that did not automatically refund after cancellation - order was canceled in SAP but has not been refunded to card
  • Investigate consumer calls about declined payments
  • Reporting
    • Chargebacks
    • UPS claims
    • KOUNT data
    • Refunds

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with strong math skills and concentration in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working with sales teams and or prior customer experience preferred
  • Demonstrated computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite required; SAP or other enterprise software preferred
  • A courteous and professional demeanor with customers while also remaining assertive and confident
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills to maintain positive working relationship with customers and various functional groups across the organization
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team contributor
  • A desire to solve problems and do so in a timely manner
  • A willingness to be flexible in work assignments and otherwise support co-workers when needed

Environmental Factors:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business (% if needed)
  • Must be Covid-19 vaccinated.
  • We currently operate on a hybrid schedule; candidate must be willing to come into the office 50% of time.
