Position Summary:

The Walmart National Account Manager will report to the Vice President of Sales and is responsible for all Walmart Omni Channel Sales in the HBA Division of Conair.   This candidate will play an integral part in driving brand and account initiatives by working closely with the retailer merchants and in collaboration with the Conair corporate teams (marketing, product management, category planning & analysis, supply chain, customer service and finance) to meet sales, profit, distribution, and e-commerce growth goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the sales and profitability for the HBAC portfolio of products for Walmart, Sam’s Club & walmart.com.
  • Lead three-person cross functional Walmart support team in Bentonville, AR.
  • Drive enhancement of Conair’s position within Walmart through close collaboration and partnership with buying team.
  • Align with Finance and Operations through accurate shipment and consumption forecasts.
  • Develop and execute profitable promotional strategies and provide post event analysis and insights.
  • Manage customer spend as it relates to trade funds, COOP, Operations, Chargebacks, etc. to efficiently drive the business.
  • Communicate Walmart’s strategic initiatives to the internal HBAC teams (these initiatives would include merchandising, brand, operational, logistics, etc.…) and coordinate to provide super customer service.
  • Responsible for obtaining, interpreting, and utilizing all available POS data (Retail Link, IRI, Numerator, etc.…).
  • Manage of the elements of the Supplier Scorecard, working to improve status at every level.
  • Share weekly sales reporting and monthly/quarterly business reviews.
  • Ongoing analysis of business performance to drive incremental growth opportunities and understanding of current state of the business.
  • Sales support and preparation for all Walmart line reviews.
  • Follow internal controls and company policies as set by company and job function.
  • Contribute to the success of company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field of study.
  • 7+ years’ experience in development of brand business objectives and marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the cpg industry, retail channels and account specific marketing.
  • Strong communication & influencing skills.
  • Deep knowledge of shopper marketing including omni, digital, in store, .com, promotional tactics, process flow, execution, and fulfillment processes.
  • Strong in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Extensive experience in digital marketing and understanding of consumer behavior in this space.
  • Creative thinking to approach things differently than historical plan.
  • Attention to detail, planning and preparation.
  • Highly organized; able to independently run a team and manage a wide range of responsibility.

Beneficial Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Experience in the Personal Care, Health Care, Beauty or Consumer Goods industry is a plus.
  • Walmart experience preferred but not required. 

Environmental Factors:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel 10% of time.
  • Must be Covid-19 vaccinated. 
  • Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule 50% in the office.
