Position Summary:

The Category Manager of Sales Reporting, Data Integration and Analysis will drive data insights and oversee the integration of varying data sources (NPD, IRI, Nielsen, EDI, 1010, RSI, Numerator, etc.) into dashboards and other tracking tools. They will work together with multiple internal and external customers (Retailers, Sales, Marketing, Product Managers, Brokers, etc.). The position is fast paced and will manage numerous projects at any given time.

 Critical functions of the position are as follows:

  • Ability to use Excel VBA and other advanced tools to cleanse and organize data into meaningful dashboards.
  • Oversee Conair’s DOMO BI tool HBA integration and usage
  • Utilize IRI and AC Nielsen syndicated and consumer, JDA (ProSpace) space management software and other systems to provide decision support, shelf management support, and fact-based selling tools to numerous internal and external customers.
  • Help Conair’s HBA division achieve its goals working closely with Marketing, Product Development, and Operations on new item introductions, product supply planning, and other activities.
  • Perform tracking and product movement analysis using internal shipment information, syndicated data, and account point of sale (POS).
  • Assist in database coding, maintenance, and development to help the organization acquire accurate data faster.
  • Reports to Managing Director of Category Management, Research and Consumer Insights

 Competencies/Requirements:

  • Must have advanced excel knowledge: VBA, Power BI, Power Query. SQL, R and Python a plus.
  • Must have an outgoing personality with the ability to coach and teach people how to use data.
  • Strong sense of urgency, analytical skills, customer focus, and a high-level of initiative are critical. JDA experience a plus. Use of other PC based applications (Windows, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrate a high competency in business analysis.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and facilitate cross-organizational teams.
  • The ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and understandable manner both orally and in writing maintaining frequent contact with internal and external partners.
  • Individuals must be aware of and able to incorporate company and customer objectives and strategies into highly actionable, analysis-based recommended courses of action.
  • Must be adept at developing and maintaining strong business building relationships with key customer contacts.

Environmental Factors:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
  • Must be Covid-19 vaccinated.
  • We currently operate on a hybrid schedule; candidate must be willing to come into the Stamford office 50% of time.
