Senior Director, Business Systems and PMO

Position Summary:

Lead technical business application support for Conair’s corporate business application systems (SAP, Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management systems, EDI systems, CRM systems, etc) globally to ensure smooth running and appropriate growth of Conair’s corporate business applications. The business outcome will be better, more resilient business applications providing a valued and cost-effective service to all Conair locations and employees worldwide.

Also provide a “center of excellence” for project management and project status reporting across all types of Conair IT projects (applications, infrastructure, digital transformation).


  • Part of the Global IT leadership team as a direct report to the SVP, Global CIO
  • Lead all of the technical support and development of Conair’s corporate business applications – both on-premise and in the cloud:
    • Manage Global SAP technical development and support team of 4 plus 1 manager. Ensure 24x365 availability of our core SAP business applications
    • Manage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) development and support team of 6 plus 1 senior manager. Ensure 24x365 availability of our critical WMS business applications.
    • Manage Global EDI team of 4 plus 1 manager. Ensure 24x365 availability of our centralized EDI systems
    • Partner closely with Director of SAP Functional and Business Process team to ensure timely and quality development of enhancements to Conair’s SAP-based systems.
    • Project plan and track all SAP-related projects, all Warehouse-related projects and EDI projects.
  • Establish, develop, and lead a new Program Management Office (PMO) to give consistent visibility across all IT projects and highlight associated resourcing needs and challenges. This involves close collaboration and matrix management of many other teams within IT globally.
  • Key contributor as part of Global IT Leadership team (led by Global CIO) to Conair’s business application strategies, plans and budgets.
  • Responsible for successful execution of assigned application development projects using an appropriate mix of internal and external resources
  • Manage assigned IT team members in accordance with Conair’s evolving HR practices and procedures
  • Directly manage major application vendor relationships globally, including: SAP, Manhattan Associates.
  • Budgetary responsibility for application support costs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Degree in computer engineering, IT, business administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years in an IT management and technology-driven role
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of team members, including executives, managers, IT professionals, and subject matter experts.
  • Proven ability to facilitate requirement workshops / training sessions with large groups of business users and leadership.
  • Ability and proven experience to translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications that can be used for development, breaking down technical complexities so that they can be easily understood by business units and end users.
  • Experience in process mapping, group facilitation, data gathering and analysis, and phases of project life cycle (requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, training, and measuring effectiveness.)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
  • Strong ability to work effectively within time constraints with changing priorities

  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business (% if needed)
  • Must be Covid-19 vaccinated.
  • We currently operate on a hybrid schedule; candidate must be willing to come into the office 50% of time.
