Conair LLC located in Stamford, CT, a worldwide manufacturer of haircare, health and beauty products, personal care and spa appliances, and upscale kitchen products is looking for an Art Director for our Hairgoods, Brushes, Accessories & Cosmetic Bags Division to join our Creative Team.


  • Support the strategic vision of the HBAC division under the General Manager
  • Support and report to the Associate Creative Director and Senior AD
  • Ability to work in multiple categories and become expert in all brand standards and graphic templates of all collections within the core groups
  • Responsible for maintaining workflow in demanding deadline environment
  • Self-starter, digests direction, works independently and executes with clarity
  • Follows managements direction adheres to marketing’s creative briefs and always has an option with independent creativity (out of the box, unexpected)
  • Ability to set up files accurately for print and work in correct color profiles
  • Extreme attention to detail and technical corporate process
  • Ability to multi-task, handle multiple SKUs and line extensions in a
    demanding deadline-driven environment
  • Work on set with in-house photographers to provide clear art direction
  • Ability to direct and approve photography and retouching to help advance projects
  • Work collaboratively with internal Copy team to ensure creative cohesion and maintain brand standards
  • Present to marketing partners with articulate and energized voice
  • Passion for design, photography, color, pop culture and tech trends
  • Understanding and interest in beauty, fashion and trends
  • Takes direction seamlessly while collaborating to the creative process
  • Provide additional creative support on special projects and presentations
  • Work on the development and execution of the following:
    • Package design concepts and trend/mood board support
    • Extensive edits, revisions and line extensions
    • Instructional Booklets and screen art
    • Comping, planogram assets and building POGs
    • Visual merchandising
    • Print advertising
    • Collateral materials and trend presentations
    • Event signage
    • Licensee projects
    • Pre-production and mechanicals


  • Proficient knowledge of Creative Suite


  • 3D rendering software, a plus
  • Strong production skills a must
  • Bachelors Degree/BA or BFA preferred
  • Minimum 2+ years, a plus
  • Portfolio of dynamic, diverse and inspiring creative
  • Strong elevated aesthetics and detail oriented
  • Ability to create impactful mood boards/trends to help
    assist delivery of creative solutions
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Knowledge of design fundamentals (type, layout, color etc)
  • On-set photography experience and retouching knowledge, a plus
  • Energetic, passionate self-starter
  • Team player, no ego/attitude, collaborative and elevates the team
  • Solution-oriented, innovative thinker
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized, responsible and able to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment
  • Some travel required
  • Must be Covid-19 vaccinated.
  • We currently operate on a hybrid schedule; candidate must be willing to come into the Stamford office 50% of time.
