Virtual Lead Adult Group Therapist

Compass Health Center is seeking a Lead Adult Group Therapist for our Virtual Mood and Anxiety Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs.

We are currently building and developing an entirely virtual program in order to increase accessibility and convenience for our patients.
We are an experienced group therapist who will lead evidenced-based group therapy to adults (18 years and up) with mood and anxiety disorders, and who will also help to lead and mentor group therapists within the program.
This is a full-time 40 hour per week position that is Monday thru Friday, and the specific schedule will be based on program needs. While we plan for this to be a fully remote position, there may also be the need to report on-site as necessary in the event that the patient census dictates a need for an increase in on-site programming.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing group therapy to patients in a safe and therapeutic virtual milieu
- Developing effective therapeutic group relationships that promote positive change in patients
- Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapies
- Oversee and manage group therapy operations within the virtual adult program. This includes administrative responsibilities as well as mentoring and developing group therapists within the program (as assigned by Program Director)
- Relaying relevant clinical information to treatment team during daily rounds and as needed
- Developing virtual program material and adjusting group therapy content, as needed, to fit group needs, as well as adapting existing curriculum to fit the virtual medium
- Engaging in crisis management, as needed
- Creating and updating treatment plans
- Charting in our electronic medical records system
- Participating in professional development activities
- This position may also include meeting with patients individually for case management
You would be the ideal candidate, if you:
- Are passionate about facilitating virtual group therapy and seeking an environment to work collaboratively with others
- Have 1-2 years of group therapy experience
- Are a Psychologist or Master’s level therapist
- Hold the following licenses or education: LSW (or LSW eligible), LPC (or LPC eligible), LCSW, LCPC, PsyD, or PhD
- Possess a core skill set of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills
- Have prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting (preferred, not required)
