Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.

We are seeking a Full-Time Director of Retail Operations in Princeton, NJ. The Director of Retail Operations will manage multi-location floral operations and a specialty gift shop, integrating in-store performance with e-commerce. Success will be measured by loss reduction, sales growth, and profitability milestones. This position will require travel between Princeton and Mount Olive.

Starting Pay Rate: $80,000+ incentives 

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operations across three stores, ensuring efficiency and customer service excellence.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff across all locations.
  • Grow event and wedding floral business and optimize wire services (FTD, Teleflora, BloomNet).
  • Drive e-commerce growth via Shopify and Amazon.
  • Take ownership of P&L, cutting losses and building toward profitability.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to improve margins and secure favorable terms.
  • Conduct weekly sales and margin analysis to identify underperforming products or categories.
  • Collaborate with marketing to increase local visibility (events, partnerships, community outreach).
  • Implement customer loyalty programs and strategies to increase repeat purchases.
  • Oversee point-of-sale and e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, floral networks).
  • Implement best practices for order fulfillment, delivery logistics, and customer service across channels.
Minimum Requirements  
  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields or related studies: Business, Marketing, Retail Management or related field.
  • 5+ years in retail management, with at least 2+ years multi-location oversight OR responsibility for both retail + online channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve financial performance (e.g., cutting costs, growing sales, or managing a P&L).
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify e-commerce and point-of-sale.
