We are currently seeking a Full-Time and Part-Time Board Certified Behavior Analyst to support adults residing in both traditional and specialized supported living homes in Smyrna, TN. The BCBA will serve as the lead clinician in our short-term, therapeutic group homes using best practices, evidenced-based ABA interventions, and trauma informed care. The ideal candidate will have experience with crisis management, de-escalation practices, positive behavior supports, staff training, leading interdisciplinary teams, and creating individualized behavior plans for individuals with autism, intellectual disability, and co-occurring mental health and psychiatric disorders.  Positive Options prioritizes staff success by providing the technology, resources, benefits, autonomy, and flexibility that creates our unparalleled work culture.
Starting pay is  $80,000- $95,000 per year based on experience (FULL-TIME)
 Starting pay is $55-$60 per hour based on experience (PART-TIME)
Minimum Requirements
  • BCBA Certification
  • Licensed Behavior Analyst in Tennessee
  • Supervising BCBA status with the BACB
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the development and implementation of behavior support plans
  • Experience with diverse populations including adolescents, adults, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and mood disorders, and high acuity individuals
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
  • Knowledge of positive behavior supports, crisis prevention, and trauma informed care
  • Ability to independently conduct functional behavioral assessments and create evidence-based treatment plans
  • Valid Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record
  • Availability for occasional remote crisis support
  • Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation 
Responsibilities
  • Create and oversee comprehensive, function-based, treatment plans for teens and adults in living in traditional and specialized group homes
  • Conduct functional behavioral assessments and functional analyses
  • Work cooperatively with RBTs and treatment team members to ensure ethical and high-quality service delivery
  • Train staff and caregivers on implementation of plans
  • Monitor treatment plan implementation, review data, assess  progress, and modify protocols as needed
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and provide care coordination with all related service providers
  • Prepare progress reports and complete concurrent reviews as determined by funding sources
  • Create safety plans/cross systems crisis plans and provide in-person or remote crisis support as needed
  • Attend staff trainings, group supervision, and individual supervision meetings
  • Provides agency in-service training as requested, and consultation to agencies requesting such services as assigned
  • Provide on-going mentorship, training, support, and supervision to RBTs and DSPs
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
