Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Product Manager to help define the product strategy and roadmap for our career center platform serving the association, nonprofit, and niche job board market. You will be responsible for helping drive the strategic vision and roadmap based on market research, testing, customer and prospect feedback. This position is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, communicating with management and executives, effectively managing customer escalation and partnering closely with development to implement, test and define enhancements.

 

  • Help lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products by serving as a Product Owner for the scrum team, creating user stories that align to the release theme and vision, and participate in meetings, including backlog and release planning
  • Be involved with developing and maintaining product vision, a multi-year strategic plan and product roadmap that aligns product strategy with business strategy
  • Develop expertise in customer needs by collaborating across business units, analyzing data, conduct interviews and product demos to develop insights and identify opportunities for improvement which drive impactful results
  • Understand competitive landscape, stay abreast of product and technology trends, and share learnings; use this knowledge to inform requirements and new product features that are recognized best in the industry
  • Establish a shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution
  • Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction
  • Write business cases, product plans, requirements, acceptance criteria, documentation, and implementation steps
  • Manage and prioritize individual project rollout within each release and be responsible for leading a cross-departmental launch team to ensure release readiness
  • Define, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators and metrics to determine how well the product is performing, impact to company operations, and contribution margins
  • Be comfortable with conducting virtual and in-person presentations at major corporate conferences, as well as some industry tradeshows, user groups, and outside conferences

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of product management or similar experience
  • Career Center / Job Board experience highly preferred
  • Association experience highly preferred
  • Proven track record of managing web projects and implementation of SaaS web applications while delivering on schedule
  • Bachelors’ degree in Association Management, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Information Technology, or other related field preferred
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum as a Product Owner
  • A technical foundation that enables collaboration with development teams on everything from APIs to web apps
  • Ability to collaborate closely with design and usability to drive product enhancements
  • A prior history of working well with internal and external stakeholders including executives, peers, customers, and partners
  • Very strong written communication skills
  • Willing to travel on occasion
