Position at Common Ground

Seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Victim Navigator. Scheduled hours are as follows: Monday/Wednesday 9am - 5pm, Tuesday/Thursday 9am - 7pm, Friday 9am - 1pm. Some evening and/or weekend community events are required. Regular schedule will be flexed to accommodate community events. Base pay: $25.00 - $28.00.
About You 
The Victim Navigator provides victims, family members, and groups with the psychosocial support needed in the aftermath of the mass violence event. A successful Victim Navigator will be able to provide non-judgmental active listening, one-on-one support, and providing information and referrals, education, etc. to people seeking services. The ability to utilize your own personal vehicle to ensure immediate crisis response is a must. If you wish to serve those in crisis, we invite you to apply! Day in the Life 
  • Provide holistic and comprehensive case management services, including intake assessment, benefit assessment, goal setting, progress monitoring, advocacy, and referrals
  • Respond to outreach in collaboration with other navigators and work with individuals over time to keep them connected to services, informed about center activities, and supported as they work to heal
  • Maintain an awareness of services available throughout the community and assist individuals served in accessing appropriate resources
  • Attend various outreach events as needed in order to support the mission of the resiliency center
 
What you need to apply 
  • Reliable personal transportation with a clean driving record to ensure immediate response for community and crisis events 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in victim services or crisis intervention/mental health services
