The Commercial Banking intern will have exposure to and responsibility for providing assistance and support to Commercial Bankers through a variety of tasks and projects, supporting department projects as needed.

The Commercial Banking intern will have exposure to and responsibility for providing assistance and support to Commercial Bankers through a variety of tasks and projects, supporting department projects as needed.
Responsibilities and Opportunities:
- Opportunity to explore a variety of roles and positions within a regional community bank
- Learn new technology, quickly in a complex environment
- Researches client's banking relationship and credit history
- Determines strengths and weaknesses of the credit
- Reviews and maintains commercial credit files for completeness
- Develop knowledge of banking/financial terminology and regulations
- Read, understand, and follow Columbia Bank's loan policy and all pertinent Standard Operating Procedures.
- Participate in training opportunities as presented.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc)
- General interest and/or understanding of data analysis as it relates to banking
- A basic understanding of financial statements
- Manage work projects through interruptions and shifting priorities, while meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated high level of customer service
- Currently enrolled in college or graduate level courses and pursuing a degree/advanced degree in a relevant or related field of interest
- Commit to 10+ weeks of continuous, full-time work during the summer
- Must provide own living arrangements and transportation

Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to sit at a computer monitor for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive finger, hand, and arm movements
- Ability to lift up to 15lbs.
- Ability to effectively discern information and formulate appropriate action
- Ability to reach, squat, bend, and manually manipulate standard office equipment
- Ability to drive to various locations
- Ability to think critically and provide appropriate solutions
We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $18.00 to $22.00 and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role is not eligible for performance-based incentive compensation.
