Trust Operations Tax Specialist
Description
The Trust Operations Tax Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and completion of all task surround tax filing and daily operational duties as required.
Essential Job Functions:
- Scrub transactions and contact records for proper coding
- Act as liaison between tax vendor and administrative staff
- Submit monthly transmission of data to tax preparer
- Submit annual transmission of IRA related data to trust processing system vendor
- Annual submission of 1099R and 5498 file to proper authorities
- Track annual 1099, 1041, 1042, 5227 and 990 form distribution
- Maintain records of quarterly tax payments and submission for payment
- Maintain records of annual tax prep fees, submission for payment
- Post disbursements and deposits
- Release trade order files to meet deadlines
- Check printing and mailing, positive pay file upload
- ACH file generation and upload
- Cash management sweep
- Wire placement
- May perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3 years’ of tax preparation experience required
- Comprehensive understanding of tax codes and laws
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and be detailed oriented
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to sit at a computer monitor for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive finger, hand, and arm movements.
- Ability to lift up to 15lbs.
- Ability to effectively discern information and formulate appropriate action.
- Ability to reach, squat, bend, and manually manipulate standard office equipment.

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base salary and comprehensive benefits. The hourly range for this role is $25.53 - $37.50, and the pay rate for the successful applicant depends on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
