Position at Columbia State Bank

POSITION SUMMARY

Reviews closing document packages for appropriate signatures and compliance. Work with Underwriting to clear funding conditions prior to settlement. Balance the transaction with the Settlement Agent and funds the loan transaction. Prepare and submit the closed loan file to investors for loan purchase. Register and transfer loan in MERS. Receive and clear wires for purchased loans. Prepare and submit files for post-closing audit as requested.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reviews Closing Document Packages and Final Closing Conditions
  • Balance Transaction with Settlement Agent
  • Prepare and Submits Wire for Loan Funding
  • Prepare Closed Loans and submit to Investor for Purchase
  • Clear Investor Suspense/Purchase Conditions
  • MERS Transfer for Funded and Purchased Loans
  • Reconcile Loan Purchase Schedules
  • Prepare and Submit Post Closing Audit Files when requested
  • Compliance Review of Mortgage Loan Documentation
  • Revised Final CD Preparation/Delivery
  • Prepare UCD File and submit to investor
  • Reviews and approves Final Closing Disclosure / Settlement Statement
  • Ensures that the documents requested comply with bank policy and that document packages are complete to minimize the risk of loss to the bank.
  • Investigates and resolves all but the most complex document questions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1+ years in mortgage loan processing
  • high school diploma or GED
  • Ability to organize and process multiple document request to assure timely and accurate completion
  • Research and problem solving capabilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skill
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and collectively within a team environment
  • Ensures mortgage loan applications received by bank are complete for the generation of disclosures
  • Verifies application information through written and verbal processes
  • Prepares loan disclosures and closing documents within the system
  • Prepares closing documents for the loan transaction within system
  • Reviews and documents prior to sending to settlement agent
  • Reviews and approves Closing Disclosure as assigned
  • Ensures that the documents requested comply with bank policy and that document packages are complete to minimize the risk of loss to the bank
  • Ability to organize and process multiple document request to assure timely and accurate completion
