Responsible for providing some new business for the company through marketing programs involving contact with professionals, and direct contact with potential business sources. Provides exceptional service to existing Trust clients.

This role will cover the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene market. 

Essential Job Functions:  

  • Performs a variety of written and verbal communication tasks and projects in order to ensure satisfactory completion/implementation of work or projects.
  • Provides in-house expertise on issues relating to Trust administration.
  • New business booked, retains business through cross selling
  • Calls on assigned branches regularly for branch education in trust products
  • Participates in community activities that provide opportunity to form business relationships with candidates for trust services.
  • Compliance with applicable policies; state and federal statutes and regulations;
  • Maintains account files
  • Administers accounts in a satisfactory manner;
  • Assists clients in achieving planned goals established at opening of account within acceptable level of risk.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • 5-10+ years of practical Trust Relationship Manager experience
  • CTFA designation preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Manages moderately complex, multi-tiered trust relationships.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the trust data processing system, as well as general principles of trust accounting and tax law.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with customers and staff.
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills, good analytical abilities to recognize and solve client’s estate planning and investment issues.
  • Demonstrated effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Working knowledge of tax preparation, particularly for fiduciary income tax returns and estate tax returns.
  • Demonstrated ability in use of personal computers, Windows and related software applications.
  • Working knowledge of commercial banking environment to facilitate trust clients’ financial needs and trust company interface with commercial affiliates.

  • Ability to sit at a computer monitor for extended periods of time
  • Ability to perform repetitive finger, hand, and arm movements
  • Ability to lift up to 15lbs.
  • Ability to effectively discern information and formulate appropriate action
  • Ability to reach, squat, bend, and manually manipulate standard office equipment
  • Ability to drive to various locations
  • Ability to think critically and provide appropriate solutions
