A Little About Your Day: You will:  
  • Perform daily payroll operations including all data entry of necessary changes in hours, rates of pay, retro pay and employee demographics. Audits the input performed by the onboarding team to ensure accuracy. 
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely. 
  • Prepare payment of monthly sales commissions, car allowances, expense worksheet, bonus etc. 
  • Process correct garnishments calculations support for compliance with various agencies. 
  • Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll vendor. 
  • Oversee the review of employee timecards by the payroll associate for accuracy or issues and collaborates with other branch managers on resolving timecard conflicts. 
  • Updates ADP with 3rd Party Sick Payments. 
  • Process accurate and timely weekly- monthly and year-end reporting when necessary. 
  • Answer all inquiries for verification of employment. 
  • Audit employees in ADP, including new employees and changes, and adds additional information prior to transmission. 
  • Work with ADP Compliance to resolve tax issues with requesting tax agencies. 
  • Track and confirm refunds from ADP for direct deposit reversals and stopped payments. 
  • Assist managers and employees in understanding company policies on paid time off. 
  • Provide supervisors with instructions on enhancements within the time and attendance system to simplify the process. 
  • Create job aids upon request for managers and employees. 
  • Research and document the correct setup of employees in local tax jurisdictions based on lived-in and worked-in locations. 
  • Register company for new state or local jurisdictions as necessary. 
  • Participate in onboarding acquisitions by managing the import of new associates to ADP. 
  • Participate in weekly ADP calls for new setups, problem resolution, and requests. 
  • Work with Benefits Administrator to establish payments from the company to employees on leave of absence. 
  • Balancing Payroll reconciliations & W-2s. 
  • Process Internal/External Payroll Audits. 
 
What You’ll Need to Have: 
 
Requirements 
  • A college degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or other related fields. 
  • 5+ years of experience processing weekly, multi-state payrolls of 1,000+ employees. 
  • Expertise in running commissions payroll, as well as increases, bonuses, expenses, etc. 
  • Expertise in payroll systems, including specifically ADP. 
  • Running standard reports on a weekly/monthly/yearly basis. 
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and tasks such as pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc. 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally and with employees at all levels within the organization. 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization. 
 
Strongly Preferred: 
  • Expertise specifically in ADP Workforce Now. 
  • Ability to run customized reports.
