Description

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position has primary responsibility to ensure that the receipt of all merchandise into is correctly received, labeled and accounted for. The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor is also responsible for the receiving crew and assigning individuals to certain tasks.
 
Schedule
  • 8am to 5pm, Monday-Friday
  • This is a salaried position with an estimated 40 hours per week
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervises receiving associates (4-5) and the movement of stock from receiving to stock locations.
  • Assigns associates different tasks and duties to be completed to meet daily goals and needs.
  • Enters receipts and transfers into Epicor Prophet 21 (P21), our ERP system, using bar code/RF scanners.
  • Communicates receipt discrepancies to the Purchasing Department.
  • Trains new employees when hired and oversees ongoing training needs for all receiving associates.
  • Motivates employees to keep on track by performing bi-weekly meetings to keep staff updated on any changes.
  • Stocks and performs receiving associate duties during staff shortages or peak periods.
  • Interacts with other departments such as Service and Rentals, Purchasing and Shipping to assist with daily duties as needed.
  • Run receiving reports for accuracy and volume.
  • Performs inventory checks and cycle counts as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ management experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
    • Prior experience with Prophet Epicor 21 (P21) preferred.
  • Minimum of 1+ years’ experience with RF handscanners.
  • Experience using UPS WorldShip, FedEx.com, Freight Shipping, etc. for shipping.
