Position overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated, independent immunology professional to join our growing Cell Therapy Analytical Development/QC team. The successful candidate will contribute to assay development, method execution and process/product characterization efforts supporting the development of our Deep-Primed™ cell therapy platform.  This lab-based role will work closely in a cross-functional team of immunologists and engineers to support analytical method development/optimization, product characterization, formulation development, and process development efforts. Primary responsibilities include experimental design and execution, data analysis, documentation, and verbal and written communication of results to the team and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute and optimize analytical methods for the characterization of immune cells, proteins, bioconjugates and/or nanoparticles
  • Contribute ideas for novel assays, method improvements, new instrumentation, and data analysis approaches
  • Contribute to method optimization and troubleshooting strategies in collaboration with Repertoire teams
  • Collaborate with Process Development and other Repertoire colleagues to manage analytical testing needs and deliver results in timely manner

 

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D.  in a relevant scientific discipline (Bioengineering, Cell Biology/Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, etc.) with 0 - 2 years relevant industry experience
  • Hands-on analytical experience using techniques such as multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, multiplex immunoassays, qPCR and/or other sequencing techniques, cell counting, and cell-based assays
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and lead from the bench in an integrated team environment
  • Understanding of safe lab practices, BSL requirements and documentation using ELN
  • Demonstrated curiosity and ability to master new scientific disciplines and troubleshoot both technical and scientific problems
  • Experience working with cell-based therapies highly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills are essential in our ultra-collaborative work environment
  • Previous experience managing a team is preferred
