Position Overview 

We are looking for an outstanding Scientist to join our Platform Technology Team. The Scientist of Platform Technology will assume a critical role responsible in part for the development of the next generation of high throughput discover platform, combining droplet-based microfluidic technology and next generation sequencing (NGS). 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track-record of working with single cells and generating and analyzing NGS data. The Scientist will have strong interpersonal skills, will have demonstrated a successful track record delivering against challenging commitments, and enjoy working in a truly multi-disciplinary environment. This position will interact closely with colleagues in immunology, molecular biology, computational biology, and protein engineering. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Working within a highly innovative group using biotechnology, molecular biology, protein engineering and computational science to develop our next generation of high throughput discovery platform
  • Develop and validate molecular biology assays for single cell transcriptomics, proteomics and immune profiling
  • Use and patch existing computational pipelines to analyze single cell genomic data
  • Maintain and implement good laboratory practices, including accurate laboratory notebooksystems, instrument and reagent validation, and personnel safety precautions

Minimum Qualifications 

  • PhD in molecular biology, computational biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, or a similar field
  • 2+ years of post-doctoral, biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in molecular and cell biology of single cell workflows
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in computational analysis of NGS data
  • Experience in developing assays utilizing molecular and cellular biology
  • Experience with Installing toolboxes in an AWS cloud environment or similar
  • Experience with using toolboxes and programming skills to build simple computational pipelines foranalyzing NGS data.
  • Previous experience with flow cytometry including multicolor flow is preferred
