Job Title: Sr. Kids Minister 

Ministry/Department: Eleven22 Kids 

Reports to: Eleven22 Kids Director 

Status: Full-time, exempt 

Supervisory Role: Yes 

Objective

This position entails overseeing the Eleven22 Kids Ministry at the campus level, leading the Kids Ministry team to facilitate Kids service gatherings and collaborating with parents to be the primary disciple-makers of their families. 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Eleven22 Kids at assigned campus
    • Oversee Eleven22 Kids Ministry and leading in the disciple-making journey of the Eleven22 Kids staff through coaching and equipping them with the skills necessary to accomplish the ministry at hand
    • Conduct general ministerial responsibilities alongside the Campus Pastor and ministerial Eleven22 Kids staff to shepherd and care for the Eleven22 families
    • Teach baptism classes and child dedication
    • Lead in setting the serve staff culture for the Eleven22 Kids Ministry
    • Manage the campus kids ministry budget
    • Oversee kids core serve staff team
    • Lead in the training of serve staff
    • Lead in developing and implementing strategies for parent engagement at the campus
  • Central responsibilities
    • Lead kids ministry curriculum team
    • Be available for coaching Kids Ministers at other campuses
    • Support in planning and executing kids ministry events
  • Other responsibilities
    • Lead the Eleven22 Kids staff team at the campus through weekly meetings, 1:1’s and the Mission & Morale process
    • Other needs both at the assigned campus and Central office as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in a kids ministry required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work will vary depending on the churches needs.  

The church has several big events, (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

Physical Demands

Requires lifting, bending and extended times of being on your feet throughout multiple services. Some travel is required to other campuses every 4-6 weeks. 

Ministerial Exception

The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
