Job Title: Warehouse Specialist 

Ministry/Department: Operations 

Reports to: Mobile and Launch Project Manager 

Status: Full-time, non-exempt 

Supervisory Role: No 

Objective

The Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for efficiently managing the warehouse inventory and overseeing all shipping and receiving activities. They will be solely responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating shipments, ensuring timely delivery of goods and ensuring compliance with all safety precautions inside of the warehouse. The role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse and meeting the logistical needs of the organization.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of advanced inventory management systems
  • Utilize technology to optimize order processing, track inventory levels in real-time, forecast demand and generate detailed reports for informed decision-making
  • Picking, packing and preparing orders for shipment, including verifying that the correct products are included and that the packaging is secure
  • Receiving and inspecting incoming shipments to ensure that they match the purchase order and meet quality standards
  • Assisting in the loading and unloading of trucks and other vehicles
  • Responsible for implementing and enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular safety training and maintaining a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Responsible for ensuring all operations adhere to laws, guidelines and ISO requirements
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and updating them in the computer system
  • Develop inventory processes to ensure accurate reporting
  • Assist with the optimization of warehouse storage space
  • Assist with organizing equipment and materials according to project needs
  • Assist with purchasing for upcoming projects
  • Manage all tracking/shipments for orders placed
  • Ensure accurate inventory counts and document all movement of products in and out of the warehouse
  • Oversee forklift and equipment maintenance
  • Keep the warehouse clean and orderly
  • Assist in other warehouse tasks as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Forklift certification required
  • Experience with warehouse management software preferred
  • Experience with inventory systems preferred
  • Valid drivers license for operating church vehicles

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work may vary on church needs. Typical work hours are 8am-5pm. Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend requirements throughout the year may be required. 

The church has several big events, (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

Work Environment

This position will operate within an independent work environment, responsible for managing all warehouse operations autonomously and demands a self-motivated and proactive approach to ensure smooth functioning. This position uses standard office equipment, forklifts and other machinery for inventory management. 

Physical Demands

This job is very active, requiring someone to be on their feet for long periods and will require the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. 

Ministerial Exception

The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
