Job Title: Lead Pastor Office Project Manager

Ministry/Department: Lead Pastor

Reports to: Lead Pastor Office Director

Status: Full-time, non-exempt

Supervisory Role: No

Objective

This position is accountable for providing support to the Lead Pastor and team, to ensure the Lead Pastor can best serve the church at a strategic level in a prepared, focused and intentional way.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Oversees the coordination of events at The Retreat Center, which are organized and hosted by the Lead Pastor's office.
  • Partners with ministry leaders in planning annual hunting encounter
  • Schedule and coordinate Vision Engagement relationships for Lead Pastor 
  • Helps co-manage and coordinate Lead Pastor’s meetings in partnership with other ministry areas,
  • Responsible for co-managing the pastor coverage team and discipling serve staff
    • Scheduling coverage for each service
    • Recruiting and discipling serve staff
  • Coordinate and schedule congregational engagement 
  • Assists Lead Pastor Office Director in managing the Lead Pastor budget to include but not limited to;
    • Processing expense reports
    • Assist in monitoring monthly budget
  • Serve as extension of Lead Pastor in staff care and ministry as well as maintaining relationships and proximity with Lead Pastor
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • 3+ years church-based ministry and/or administrative experience preferred
  • Works effectively and efficiently in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work may vary based on church need.

The church has several big events, (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

Ministerial Exception

The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
