CNO Marketing is hiring a Sr. Internal Communications Associate to  develop communications plans, writes materials and execute strategies, tactics and activities to share our business priorities, news and associate engagement programs across the organization, which supports six corporate offices in Chicago, Carmel, Indiana, and Philadelphia, Orlando, Milwaukee and Birmingham, Alabama, as well as sales offices across the United States.

This is your opportunity to be a  a member of CNOs corporate communications team focusing on associate communications and engagement for 3,400 associates across the country.

As a Sr. Internal Communications Associate, your responsibilities will include:
  • Develops and manages weekly editorial calendar
  • Creates high-quality written, video and visuals focused on profiling company/business initiatives and employee engagement activities/spotlights  
  • Writes, compiles and distributes Associate Announcements news updates to all CNO associates
  • Actively manages content on myCNO Intranet
  • Writes and posts news articles, videos, features, and associate engagement communications
  • Leads day-to-day relationship with Unily, the vendor for the myCNO intranet, and IT partners
  • Works with content owners across the enterprise to edit their pages and/or advise on Intranet updates
  • Coordinates arrangements and send associate communications for CNO Town Hall meetings and corporate events.
  • Support in messaging and engaging with associates in responding to questions
  • Supports coordination of leadership communications, including monthly senior leadership calls, executive emails and updates.
  • Leads content updates for office monitors, screen savers and posters.
  • Serve as point of contact for distributing office closing/weather communications for CNO corporate offices.
  • BRG and DEI support
  • Conducts yearly internal communications survey, and other surveys as requested, to determine associate communications engagement and understanding
  • Responsible for producing monthly analytics report to measure associate communications engagement
  • Works closely with the Corporate Communications team members in public relations, social media, brand communications, sponsorships and community relations; as well as business units, including HR, IT, Operations and other departments to support CNO’s corporate communications strategy. 

The Sr. Internal Communications Associate position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with portfolio samples
  • Demonstrated project coordination skills
  • Interest or background in graphic design is required
  • Preferred experience in SharePoint, Intranet platforms, and/or Yammer
  • Creative, collaborative and detail-oriented
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects in varying stages of completion
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment
  • Professionalism and diplomacy to interact easily with all levels of the organization including senior executives
Qualified candidates will have: 
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline
  • 3 to 5 years of Corporate/Internal Communications experience.

Relocation Available: No

CNO Financial Group is pursuing a hybrid working model.  Our associates will have access to come into their affiliated Office (Carmel, Chicago or Philadelphia) up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week.  To ensure accessibility to our corporate campuses, we ask that candidates reside within a 90 minute drive of the position location.
