CNO Financial Group is hiring a Data and Reporting Analyst to provide our internal and external customers with routine and ad-hoc reporting as well as project level data analysis used to monitor performance metrics.

 

This is your opportunity to examine the impact of process changes, help production and management personnel better understand and identify risks, validate key assumptions, and support business decisions.

As a Data and Reporting Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering data and analyzing business and user reporting requirements in consultation with both business managers and end users.
  • Collecting, analyzing, mining and leveraging data stored in data warehouse universes and databases utilizing Alteryx Compiling detailed reports using data reporting tools such as Business Objects/Tableau and providing insights on based on their findings.
  • Performing quality assurance on reporting to ensure output as accurate and within control parameters.
  • Facilitation of collection and distribution of report inputs and commentary with the Operations Leadership Team (Directors / VPs).
  • Providing reporting support for regulatory and compliance activities.
  • Updating, modifying, developing and automating new reports using Business Objects, Excel, Tableau, Access, Alteryx.
  • Participating on cross-functional projects working with individual contributors as well senior managers.
  • Stays abreast of changes in reporting / analytic tools and techniques to grow and expand their capabilities.

The Data and Reporting Analyst position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Hold technical skills including Excel, Access, Power Point, Word, Business Objects or similar tool, R or SAS, Tableau, Alteryx or similar tool.
  • Effectively manage small to midsized report development projects.
  • Possess Strong, independent critical thinking skills.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills as it relates to presenting complex, fact-based analyses.
  • Thrive and are willing to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative discipline.
  • A minimum of one year of data analysis experience preferably in Insurance, Financial Services or Operations Consulting role.
