Sr. Director Diversity & Inclusion 

Responsible for leading the design and execution of the Diversity and Inclusion (D & I) strategy and programs for CNO Financial Group.  The role includes responsibility to develop and embed D&I practices into all human capital programs and policies including recruiting and selection, talent management, and leadership development.  The D&I Senior Director will also look for opportunities to reflect D&I in all CNO practices and communications.

The D&I Director will be a key thought leader and advisor for the organization and will influence others to foster an inclusive culture that leverages the diverse skills, ideas, and full potential of our employees to better serve and reflect the diverse marketplace we compete in.  The D&I Senior Director is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, but informally leads/facilitates the D&I Council and serves as an advisor to the Business Resource Group Leadership teams and Executive Sponsors.

  • Continually seek new and innovative opportunities to evolve the strategy and engage CNO associates
  • Partner with Business Resource Group (BRG) executive sponsors and leadership teams to drive meaningful activities to support associate engagement and networking, community involvement, and business results
  • Facilitate the D&I Council to develop recommendations that drive impactful recommendations for programs and actions to advance CNO’s D&I efforts
  • Advance awareness and education programs and activities through innovative techniques and approaches
  • Develop key metrics and ways to evaluate progress
  • Internally and externally represent CNO Financial Group on D&I related events

Education, Experience, Certifications, and Licenses

  • BA or BS degree or equivalent in psychology, sociology, organization development or related social sciences fields
  • Masters degree preferred
  • Minimum 12 to 15 years of relevant mid-level leadership experience in an organization with diverse associates, customers and stakeholder groups in multiple locations
  • 8-10 years of experience driving positive change in a corporate environment
