Summer Internship in Decision Sciences!
As a Decisions Sciences Intern, you will be an integral part of our Decision Sciences team, collaborating closely with experienced professionals on high-impact projects. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to apply your Python or R programming skills and gain hands-on experience in Operations Research within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Acquisition: Retrieve relevant data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Data Cleansing: Pre-process raw data to identify and rectify errors, inconsistencies, and missing values.
- Data Validation: Verify the integrity of datasets through rigorous validation procedures to ensure reliability in analysis.
- Data Transformation: Manipulate and transform data into appropriate formats for analysis and modeling purposes.
- Data Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis using Operations Research techniques to derive actionable insights and support decision-making processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members to understand project requirements and contribute effectively to project objectives.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data acquisition, cleansing, and analysis processes for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Python or R programming languages (python preferred).
- Familiarity with JavaScript.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
