What You’ll Do:
Reporting directly as a key member of the Assistant Controller’s team, you will support the financial close process, maintain compliance, and drive process optimization. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Financial Reporting & Close Management: Prepare accurate, timely journal entries and reconciliations for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Ensure monthly financial statements comply with IFRS and internal policies.
- Audit & Compliance (SOX): Collaborate with the Compliance team to maintain robust internal controls and ensure audit readiness. Support internal and external audits, respond to inquiries, and compile/validate SOX evidence.
- Revenue Recognition: Assist with contract reviews and percent-of-completion evaluations to ensure proper recognition under IFRS 15.
- Analysis & Decision Support: Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities, providing insightful reports to support critical financial decision-making.
- Working Capital Management: Analyze and research variances in accounts payable, accounts receivable, unbilled revenue, accrued/deferred revenue, and out-of-pocket costs.
- Process Automation & Innovation: Apply AI tools and modern technologies to expedite reporting, analysis, and internal controls.
- Supervision & Leadership: Provide guidance and share knowledge on financial processes with junior team members and cross-departmental colleagues (position may have direct supervisory responsibilities)
What You’ll Bring:
Education & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in public accounting with audit and internal control experience, alongside a strong understanding of complex financial operations.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions and macros).
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), specifically IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 (highly preferred).
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Technical Agility: A proven ability and enthusiasm to leverage AI tools and platforms for data analysis, process automation, and predictive insights.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $70,000 to $140,000. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
