The Junior Copywriter (Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred) is a subject matter expert in the areas of storytelling and content development. Someone who is Bilingual in Spanish would be ideal. Reporting to the Content Marketing Manager the incumbent will be responsible for producing relevant copy to be purposed across each of CMG Financials sales channels. The incumbent will produce both digital and print on platforms that include but are not limited to sales blogs, website pages, email communication, flyers, and social media.

 

Location: Baltimore, MD – Work a Hybrid schedule in office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

          Create content that drives interest across all targeted markets nationwide.

          Produce original content for CRM platform, sales materials, newsletters, and website copy targeted towards consumers, partners, and prospects within the parameters of each sales channel’s branding brief.

          Responsible for editorial review of department created content.

          Ability to research potential material and effective strategies.

          Perform initial compliance review of all content.

          Develop and design concepts for a variety of marketing deliverables including webpages, email blasts, templates, and layouts for publications.

          Determine appropriate document style and layout.

          Employ styles and standards for organization branding set forth by the marketing department.

          Take submitted design concepts and produce deliverables that communicate the information in a clear, concise, and compelling way.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

          Ability to work onsite at the Baltimore, MD office 2-3 days a week.

          Spanish speaking highly preferred.

          Bachelor of Science in Journalism, Writing, Communications etc. equivalent degree, or experience.

          2-3 years of Copywriter or Public Relations experience required.

          Previous mortgage or real estate marketing/advertising experience a plus.

          Ability to complete projects with minimal supervision.

          Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.

          Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

          High level of integrity and confidentiality.

          Ability to manage multiple projects at once with concurrent deliverables.

          Proficient in Microsoft suite of product; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

          Knowledge of social media sites.

          Experience with email development and deployment a plus.

          Understanding of WEB 2.0, SEO\ SEM is a plus.

PHYSICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Standard office environment, equipment, and tasks, including work at a computer terminal.  This position requires partial sitting and walking throughout the day.  Employee must be open to work overtime to complete assigned tasks.

 

COMPENSATION

CMG pays a competitive base which ranges from $50,000 - $60,000. Factors that affect base salary may include: Copywriting experience, number of years worked in the mortgage industry, types of roles performed, computer skills, customer service experience specific to working with mortgage lenders, and education.
