POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Mortgage Investor Purchasing & Remediation Manager is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for Investor Purchasing and Remediation functions.  Create metrics and lead processes to optimize productivity, minimize risk, and ensure adherence to business standards and compliance regulations. Be knowledgeable and skilled in mortgage origination including Processing, Underwriting, Closing, Funding. Be subject matter expert, Quality Assurance and Agency and Investor audit and QC. Partner with senior leaders to create and implement long-term strategic goals and initiatives.  Must possess a solid working knowledge of a wide array of mortgage products and sales methods.

This position is a Hybrid and located in Irving, Texas but remote candidates may be considered if they are a very strong match for the position. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

 

  • Lead the Investor Purchasing and Remediation Team  in the following areas: Investor Purchasing, Agency Delivery, and Remediation.
  • Monitor production pipelines to ensure proper allocation and delivery to agency and correspondent partners.
  • Lead the team to review all closed loan production to ensure loan quality, compliance, insurability, and salability.
  • Ensured efficiency of all post-Closing deficiencies through consistent management of external and internal communication.
  • Monitor production pipelines, loan aging and quality to maximize department efficiencies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Agency and Non-Agency Partners.
  • Manage risk across a large organization through identification of issues, root cause problem solving, and implementation of processes/controls.
  • Work with counterparts in other departments to develop strategies and set measurables in the Post Closing department.
  • Monitor deliverables to verify audit deadlines are met.
  • Responsible for the measurement of team members and tracking of performance to determined standards.
  • Process Improvement – Place emphasis on efficient processes and quality control.
  • Identify potential issues in the department and develop guidelines and training for staff.
  • Metrics/SLA reporting – Manage daily/weekly/monthly reports to monitor and assess items that need attention and trends.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field 15+ years of related mortgage banking experience, including 5+ years in a senior-management role. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Agency and Non-Agency Loan Delivery
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced fluid environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality required.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct Reports: Department Team Leads Investor Purchasing, Agency Delivery, Government Insuring and Remediation.

           

PHYSICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

This role operates in an ADA compliant office environment, utilizing typical office equipment and tasks including computer work. The position may involve partial stationary positions and moving throughout the day. Flexibility to work overtime to meet project deadlines is required.


CMG pays a competitive base which ranges from $145,000 - $165,000. Factors that affect base salary may include: Investor Purchasing, Government Insuring and Agency Delivery experience and overall knowledge, number of years worked in mortgage industry, types of roles performed, computer skills, experience specific to working with mortgage lenders, and education.
