As a Senior Servicing Regulatory Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Compliance Program associated with mortgage servicing operations at CMG. This role involves researching regulatory and investor requirements for servicing operations and assisting with drafting and updating business-aligned policies in compliance with requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of mortgage servicing regulations and requirements, and experience in regulatory and investor research.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of a successful business-aligned compliance program to identify, monitor, assess, control and report on compliance risk; detect and prevent customer harm; and ensure compliance.
  • Assist in the development and review of as well as updates to servicing documents, policies, the servicing compliance plan, and training materials to reflect changes in regulations and ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with internal teams to address compliance-related issues, ensuring adherence to current and new regulatory requirements, investor guidelines, and internal policies through risk assessments to identify areas of non-compliance.
  • Support investigations of compliance issues or complaints and contribute to the development and implementation of corrective actions or remediation plans as necessary.
  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of timely and accurate regulatory reports.
  • Stay abreast of changes in laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to mortgage servicing compliance and incorporate such knowledge into assigned projects and research targets.
  • Collaborate with other areas within servicing and across the enterprise such as servicing risk management and oversight, complaint management, external audit, legal, and operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the mortgage industry, with majority in mortgage servicing preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of residential mortgage servicing practices and processes, along with investor guidelines and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, critical thinking, problem-solving, detail oriented, and time management skills.
  • Experience in project management preferred.

 

PHYSICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Standard office environment, equipment, and tasks, including work at a computer terminal. This position requires partial sitting and walking throughout the day. Employee must be open to work overtime to complete assigned tasks. 

 

 

 

COMPENSATION:

CMG pays a competitive salary which ranges from $85,000 to $110,000 total compensation. Factors that affect salary may include: Servicing Compliance experience, mortgage experience, overall knowledge of mortgage industry, number of years worked in it.
