POSITION OVERVIEW:  The Investor Purchasing Analyst is responsible for executing the resolution of pre-purchase loan issues to complete the loan sale or post-purchase issues to prevent repurchase of the loan.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Utilizes internal CMG reporting to monitor outstanding loans pending purchase by assigned investors.
  • Monitors investor website(s) at least daily for their specific statuses and outstanding conditions that CMG must meet or fulfill for purchase.
  • Communicates with internal or external customers, or both, to obtain necessary documentation required to perfect loan sales to Investors.
  • Manages delivery of completed conditions to investors for their review and obtains investor sign-off /approval for purchasing loans from CMG.
  • Delivers timely and accurate communication to investors, including follow-up calls or e-mails to ensure that submitted conditions are acceptable to get loans purchased.
  • Follows established communication protocol and delivers communication to upper management regarding all loans that have been purchased, along with their purchase advice if applicable.
  • Responds to post purchases Quality Control missing items and deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Researches and investigates facts as necessary to prevent unsaleable loans and repurchases, including collecting necessary data and gathering information required for successful rebuttals.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-10 years of Underwriting experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with FNMA (DU) and FHLMC (LP).
  • 2+ years of experience with Bond loans preferred.
  • BYTE experience preferred.
  • Compliance or Quality Control experience preferred.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to provide clear documentation and feedback.
  • Ability to prioritize work and goals according to importance and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced fluid environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality required.

Direct Reports: N/A

 

PHYSICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Standard office environment, equipment, and tasks, including work at a computer terminal.  This position requires partial sitting and walking throughout the day.  Employee must be open to work overtime to complete assigned tasks.

Base Compensation Information – This role is currently allocated for candidates within geographic regions that do not currently require base wage disclosure. The compensation range for this position will be provided upon request. (Due to their geographic location, residents of the states of CA & CO, and for New York City are excluded from this role at this time.)
