Pay Range: $100K - $120K annually

The Role
The Network Engineer plays a pivotal role in evaluating, maintaining, and improving our global internal network. You’ll work hands-on with advanced networking hardware and software, monitor performance, troubleshoot complex challenges, and design scalable solutions to meet the needs of our growing infrastructure.
This role is both technical and collaborative, partnering with engineers across infrastructure, security, and operations, while also serving as a go-to escalation point for networking issues.
What you’ll do
- Design & Implement: Build and refine network solutions across routing, switching, wireless, ACLs, and VPNs.
- Maintain & Monitor: Ensure the stability, performance, and security of the Liquid Web network.
- Troubleshoot & Resolve: Serve as an escalation point for complex connectivity and security issues.
- Secure & Protect: Identify, prioritize, and mitigate security-related risks.
- Collaborate: Work closely with your team, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver infrastructure projects.
- Document & Train: Create and maintain documentation (wikis, procedures) and mentor teammates.
- Respond & Restore: Support incident management and service restoral in line with company processes.
- Travel Occasionally: Visit datacenters to support projects and infrastructure needs.
What you bring
- Must-have: Juniper/JunOS experience.
- Cisco and Palo Alto experience a strong plus.
- 4+ years of IT experience, with 2+ years in networking.
- Advanced understanding of networking protocols, devices, and services.
- Strong Linux and LAMP stack familiarity.
- Hands-on firewall experience (iptables, etc.).
- Solid troubleshooting skills and escalation experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication; thrives in a collaborative team environment.
- Certifications: CCNA, JNCIA, RHCSA, or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (for occasional datacenter travel).
Preferred but not required
- CCNP, JNCIS/JNCIP, RHCE, or equivalent advanced certifications.
