About the Job: 
 
The Director of Program Management is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving the successful execution of multiple programs within the organization. This individual will provide strategic direction, ensure effective collaboration among cross-functional teams, and maintain a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes within established timelines and budget constraints. The Director of Program Management plays a crucial role in aligning program objectives with overall business goals and ensuring that projects are successful. 
 
Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive program management strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals. 
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to understand business objectives and translate them into actionable program plans. 
  • Provide strong leadership to the program management team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. 
  • Manage, mentor, and develop program managers, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce. 
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple programs, ensuring they align with organizational priorities. 
  • Monitor program performance, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies. 
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams to drive program success. 
  • Allocate and manage resources efficiently to ensure the successful execution of programs. 
  • Work closely with program managers to optimize resource allocation and utilization. 
  • Ensure risk planning and tracking is managed within and between programs. 
  • Manage cross-program interdependence. 
  • Communicate regularly with key stakeholders, providing updates on program status, milestones achieved, and any potential issues. 
  • Ensure that stakeholders are well-informed and engaged throughout the program life cycle. 
  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring that expenditures align with financial plans. 
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize program budgets. 
  • Establish and enforce quality standards for program deliverables. 
  • Implement best practices in project and program management to ensure consistent and high-quality outcomes. 
  • Evaluate program management processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement. 
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness. 
  
Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree (MBA, PMP, etc.) is a plus. 
  • Proven experience in program management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget. 
  • Experience in a PMO and with portfolio management. 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align programs with organizational goals. 
  • Experience in resource allocation and budget management. 
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate risks. 
  • Familiarity with relevant project and program management tools and methodologies. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
