CLASSIFICATION SUMMARY

 

The individual in the position allocated to this class is responsible for the research and development of all audio-visual programs used in the member relations area.  Primary responsibilities include the design, development and production of audio, audio visual and video presentations utilized for internal and external communications.

 

Work is performed independently under the general supervision of the Communications Manager.

 

Essential Job Functions

  1. Planning, Goals and Budgets. Assists the Communications Manager in the formulation and implementation of short- and long-range plans, budgets, policies and procedures.

 

  1. Division Support. Advises and makes recommendations related to communications programs and activities necessary to the successful accomplishment of the Member and Public Relations program.

 

  1. Development and Implementation. Designs, develops and produces audio, audio visual and video presentations utilized for internal and external communications.

 

  1. Managing Resources. Plans and schedules daily workflow assigned, ensuring that all ascribed deadlines for work completion are being met.

 

  1. Safety. Practices safe work habits in the performance of all job duties and is familiar with and adheres to those portions of the Cooperative Safety Manual that pertain to the position.

 

  1. Other Essential Duties. Each employee is responsible to perform other duties as required to benefit the Cooperative and its members, includes responding to and/or assisting in emergency situations.

 

Other Job Duties

 

  1. Provides creative solutions to storytelling videos that are unique, visually appealing and convey a clear message.

 

  1. Maintains timely and accurate inventory control over all equipment and materials assigned to the area.

 

  1. Reviews audio visual and video productions for accuracy, quality and content.

 

  1. Effectively maintains the Cooperative’s internal and external websites and social media channels with timely information.

 

  1. Distributes news releases via email.

 

  1. Writes articles, social media posts and speeches as requested.

 

  1. Utilizes digital camera equipment and photographic software as needed.

 

Minimum Training and Experience:

 

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus four (4) years of experience in the area of video and audio-visual production.

 

Individuals in this position must maintain a valid State of Florida driver's license.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

Specialized knowledge in the design and production of video and audio-visual presentations to include research, writing, voicing, graphics design, video editing, audio visual programming and photography.

 

Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.

 

Strong organizational skills.

 

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other technology software/tools used in the design and production of videos and audio visual presentations.
