Clay Electric's communications team is looking for a creative multimedia and video production intern who has a passion for storytelling. You will be responsible for assisting the Multimedia Communications Specialist in an array of video work including planning, filming, and editing. You will have the opportunity to work with an entire communications team that produces internal and external content to inform and educate members and employees to maintain and strengthen the co-op's reputation. This internship is a great opportunity for you to build a significant portfolio showcasing your videography and production skills. You will be part of creating Clay Electric's Logo bumper/intro and filming/editing an entire episode of our award-winning safety series.
Classification Summary:
This is a paid college intern position assisting and performing video edits, creation of graphics, production of animated media, and digitizing and organizing stored video projects under the direction and supervision of the Multimedia Communications Specialist and the Communications Manager.
This temporary part-time position will be available in the Spring 2025 college semester and will not exceed 120 hours.
- Assists and supports the video production needs for the Communications team and the Cooperative.
- Maintains an up-to-date digital library, including logos, graphics, and video productions.
- Maintains proficiency in the latest software to design effective communications materials and graphics. Use various resources, such as social media, to analyze and execute communications.
- Assists and supports the facilitation of internal communications and activities that exemplify the Cooperative’s vision and purpose.
- Practices safe work habits in the performance of all job duties and is familiar with and follows those portions of the Cooperative Safety Manual that pertain to the position.
- Performs other duties as required to benefit the Cooperative and its members, includes responding to and/or assisting in emergency situations.
Minimum Training and Experience:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Individuals must be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours at a regionally accredited college or university during the 2025 Spring semester with a major of multimedia and video production, journalism, mass communications studies, advertising, public relations, telecommunications, media production, or other related major with an emphasis on multimedia and video production.
Individuals in this position must maintain a valid State of Florida driver's license.

Working Conditions:
Most work will be conducted in an indoor office environment. Some work will be done outdoors in a variety of climate and weather conditions. Must be able to follow established protective measures including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
