Description:    

Special Projects Product Owner

The Special Projects Product Owner will have experience in operating agile projects and serving as a Product Owner to manage stakeholders to achieve business outcomes. As the Special Projects Product Owner, you will be responsible for gathering stakeholder requirements, synthesizing agile roadmaps, collaborating with technical resources, and providing visibility into day to day operations of special projects. You will work closely with a Special Project Engineering Lead to manage and execute on a backlog of capabilities that meet internal business needs which will include internal infrastructure, data management, and rapid prototyping efforts. 
Anticipated responsibilities may include:
  1. Requirements gathering with multiple internal stakeholders across several business units.
  2. Development, curation, and execution of a special projects backlog.
  3. Work closely with Special Projects Architect to assist and report on the execution of special projects in flight. 
  4. Work with business resource leadership, such as Program Managers, to appropriately allocate overhead personnel that includes temporary allocations, interns, and skillbridge candidates. 
  5. Manage financial reporting of multiple projects to include resource utilization, expenses, and budget
  6. Produce Agile Roadmaps for the engineering process and delivery of special projects. 
  7. Communicate with leadership about project status, blockers, and additional metrics such as DORA and.

 

Qualifications:
  1. 3+ years of experience managing multiple agile projects with multiple stakeholders.
  2. Proven track record of agile delivery in a technical environment working daily in collaboration with a team of engineers. 
  3. Extensive knowledge of the agile approaches, processes, and ceremonies as well as tools for organizing them such as GitLab, JIRA, or YouTrack.
  4. Experience with financial reporting of a project to ensure the project remains within budget and scope. 
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
