Description                         

 
Your Main Objective:
 
 
•    Develop analytics using Java MapReduce and Python in the Linux (Red Hat version 7+) environment.
•    Develop prototypes, answering new questions, as well as providing better answers to existing questions. 
•    Develop analytics for survey and intelligence value assessments.
•    Work directly with the customer in a highly collaborative, integrated fast-paced environment using leading technologies, developing innovative solutions.
•    Provide software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
 
What Sets You Apart: 
 
•    Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree in plus 6 years of relevant experience.  An Associate’s degree plus 10 years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position
•    Computer Science (CS) degree or related field
•    Experience with AWS
•    Experience with Java MapReduce, the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), and technologies such as Hadoop Hive, Pig, Etc.
•    Experience with distributed scalable Big Data Store (NoSQL) such as H Base, CloudBase/Accumulo, Big Table, etc.
•    Experience with serialization such as JSON and/or BSON; developing restful services; and using source code management tools.
•    Experience developing software solution using Python
•    Self-motivator with strong problem solving skills
