The Facilities Manager role is key to maintaining the integrity, accessibility, and security of these spaces while meeting the stringent requirements of government agencies.

 

Position Overview:
As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the oversight and management of all Clarity owned, leased, and sub-leased facilities. For classified spaces, you will be responsible for ensuring they meet federal regulations and security protocols. This role demands a detail-oriented professional capable of navigating complex regulatory landscapes, working closely with government and local entities to obtain and maintain necessary clearances and certifications for secure areas. You will manage all aspects of the facility’s operations, from security systems to workspace allocations, ensuring both compliance and an optimized work environment for Clarity Innovations’ personnel.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the maintenance, security, and operational readiness of all spaces.
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of an office build, to include regularly interfacing with and directing a General Contractor, and their subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with federal agencies to acquire, maintain, and renew clearances for secure spaces in compliance with government standards.
  • Manage and implement physical security measures, ensuring all classified materials and areas are safeguarded.
  • Collaborate with internal security and IT teams to integrate access control and surveillance systems, keeping facilities compliant with security standards.
  • Oversee space planning, including workspace layout and design to optimize the functionality of facilities.
  • Lead and develop a team of facilities support staff, focusing on Clarity’s culture of honesty, humility, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and manage the facilities budget, vendor relationships, and contracts relevant to building operations and security.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations concerning facility operations and security.

 

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in facilities management.
  • Strong knowledge of federal security standards and classified space requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating with government agencies to secure and maintain cleared spaces.
  • Proven experience in physical security, access control, and surveillance system management.
  • Experience managing complex operational environments within secure facilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with government agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledgeable of the requirements and implementation of the ICD-705.
  • Work directly with vendors and purchasing staff to request proposals for repairs, maintenance and capital improvements.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Security, Business Management, or related field.
  • Certification in Facility Management or Physical Security.
  • Experience in general construction, and working with contractors.
  • Experience supporting the DoD or cleared defense industry executing the NISP.
  • Prior experience as a COMSEC Manager or Custodian.
  • Availability to respond to after-hours alarms and emergency conditions.
  • Active Secret clearance; TS/SCI preferred.
