Description:    

The Business Development Operations Manager supports the intersection between growth and operations for Clarity, reporting directly to the SVP for Growth. In addition to direct business development activities, the BD Ops Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate reporting of opportunities with Clarity’s CRM, Salesforce, modeling and reporting of the pipeline as well as forecasting bookings and the corresponding revenue. This role will also provide hands-on support of executive functions and assist with development of administrative and strategic products / deliverables. The position will directly interface with finance and portfolio leads, program managers, etc. to achieve Clarity’s overarching growth goals and objectives, streamlining processes, enhancing communication, anticipating challenges, and rapidly responding to company priorities. This position requires a “jack-of-all-trades” mentality and a willingness to roll up their sleeves at a moment’s notice to support short suspense activities in business development, corporate development, capture, and proposal response
Responsibilities:
  • Executing all position responsibilities in alignment with Clarity’s core values, mission, and purpose
  • Close collaboration across Growth and Operations to support the collective goals for achieving bookings and revenue targets
  • Developing, exploring, and advancing new business opportunities, gathering competitive intelligence, supporting a wide variety of BD, Capture, and Proposal activities
  • Enhancing value to Clarity’s current and future business opportunities by supporting BD, Capture, and Portfolio’s to capture and win new business
  • Maintaining accurate information in Salesforce and modeling/forecasting pipeline, bookings, and revenue performance
  • Collecting, assessing, and communicating metrics of company progress
  • Shaping strategy and capture trajectories to match KPI/OKR metrics and company priorities
  • Crafting internal and external stakeholder briefs
  • Aligning segments with common goals and needs
  • Supporting executive functions and deliverables
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Pre-Requisites: Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for government clearances
Minimum Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in business development or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree(s)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and management skills
  • Experience responding to DoD, IC, and FedCiv U.S. government agency announcements of opportunities
  • Familiarity with new business model development, customer identification, pricing structures, and market analysis
  • Proficiency deriving meaningful data and using common data analysis tools
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to prioritized needs
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with defense industry relationship building and business-to-business relationships
  • Capacity for flexible tasking and insertion into diverse, evolving roles
  • A broad technical background and understanding of USG acquisition/procurements
  • Practice developing partnerships with government agencies and commercial organizations
  • Understanding of challenges for lean, agile, and maturing teams / organizations
  • Sensitivity to both long-term and short-term company goals & needs
  • Acquaintance with standard OKRs/KPIs and financial metrics
  • Appreciation of broad stakeholder perspectives and priorities
  • Experience leading/supporting small, high-speed teams
