What you will work on

The Supervisory Appraiser, Clario Trainee Program is responsible for supervising the appraiser trainee experience while sharing their expert knowledge of appraisal theory and practice.   This role will lead, teach, coach and instruct multiple Appraiser trainees at a time within a specific geographic area in accordance with Appraisal Qualifications Board and State regulatory requirements.  Beginning with trainee onboarding through the training process, up to state licensing or certification, this position will play a critical role in the development of future valuation professionals.  Specific responsibilities will include: 

  • Directly supervise 1-3 Appraiser Trainees within a specified geographic area through field work and coaching/review meetings. Additionally, mentor trainees under the future Practical Applications of Real Estate Appraisal (PAREA) program  
  • Oversee the completion of real estate appraisals by your assigned Appraiser Trainees in accordance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and in compliance with federal and state law
  • Supervise Appraiser Trainees to complete expected number of appraisals per month within required turnaround times
  • Collaborate with the Appraisal Service Group and Review Appraisal teams to provide status updates on assigned appraisals via multiple modes of communication
  • Participate in and provide feedback on new appraisal pilots instituted by Clario and our partners
  • Complete real estate appraisals on behalf of the company as needed

Who we are looking for

  • Certified Residential or Certified General Real Estate Appraiser with minimum 3 years appraisal experience in good standing with their state license board 
  • Desire to teach, lead and bring others through the training process 
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and work under time pressure
  • Adept at working with minimal supervision while exercising independent and sound judgment
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, listening), collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service 
  • Approved to complete FHA assignments
  • Experience with Residential Appraisal software packages, particularly Al a Mode
