Position Overview:
The Production Planner is a critical thinking position responsible for monitoring the daily work assignment queue, analyzing status, and making adjustments as needed to ensure on time and accurate receiving, picking and shipping across multiple warehouses.
Production Planner: (2nd Shift 2pm-10pm)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and monitor work assignments at multiple warehouses by going into work queue and adjusting task priorities up or down to prioritize assignments
  • Manage product allocation for outbound orders to promote on-time shipping, while balancing inventory availability and operational workflow.
  • Coordinate and allocate trailer moves with yard spotter from yard to door and door to yard
  • Effectively communicate to warehouse leadership remotely
  • Follow up on late orders, product availability, carrier rescheduling
  • Evaluate demand against open orders
  • Investigate product shorts to promote healthy fill rate ratios
  • Maintain inbound and outbound schedules for multiple warehouses
  • Process and schedule all carrier appointments
  • Maintain door accuracy and yard report for trailer inventory
  • Provide a strong level of customer service to internal and external customers
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for internal and external customers
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree – Preferred
  • PC Experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous warehouse management systems (WMS) experience, preferably Blue Yonder
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail oriented, analytical and good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate in a team environment
